Every year about this time, speckled newts, or as they are more appropriately called, red efts begin to appear and move about, and often, they end up in the middle of the road. My Mom and I who go on a walk almost everyday have this thing about rescuing them by carrying them out of harms way. We rescued the first two this morning, and now, for the first time ever are pictures of them. The one on top was the first one, after he had been moved off of the berm.
This is the second one, while he was still sitting there.
Oh, and by the way, evaluation went well, I passed, with only one issue, and its an easy one to correct.
